Minister-Counsellor of Science and Technology of South African Embassy Mr. Cecil Masoka
http://www.sajapan.org/sciencetech.html and his secretary visited Asahi University on 27 Mar. 2012.
This visit was realized by the invitaion from President Katsuyuki Ohtomo who answered the questionnaire regarding science and technology co-research issued by Science and Technology division of South African Embassy.
They paid a courtesy call on President Ohtomo.
Vice President Isao Morishita, Dean of School of Dentisitry Yasuo Tamura, Dean of School of Business Administration Toru Okuyama, Prof. Yoshiaki Takai of School of Dentistry explained International Exchange of Asahi University and read each report.
After that, Minister-Counsellor Mr. Cecil Masoka explained the present state of higher education and co-researches with Japanese universities in South Africa.
Both side exchanged their opinions actively. Two people of South African Embassy saw baseball and Sumo Wrestling Clubs guided by President Ohtomo.
We hope further academic exchange between South Africa and Japan.
