Asahi University received 10 students and 2 instructors from The University of Alabama at Birmingham
(UAB) , USA based on short term exchange program from 01 Apr. 2012 to 08 Apr. 2012.
Students of UAB had lectures in School of Dentistry of Asahi University, saw around the attached hospital , experienced many kinds of Japanese cultures such as Tea Ceremony held by Asahi University students. They also visited Gifu and Kyoto during their stay in Asahi University.
On 2nd Apr. , they attended the Entrance Ceremony of Asahi University and Assoc. Prof. Timothy J Heaven delivered a congratulatory address to new students.
Japanese students and American students deepened their friendship.
Short term student exchange program with UAB started in 1999.
We hope friendship between both universities develops further.
