Exchange students from UCLA

10 students and 2 instructors from The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA visited Asahi University from 22 Mar. 2013 to 01 Apr. 2013 based on Cooperative Cultural and Academic Agreement fastened in 1992.
Students who came to Japan this time hosted Asahi U’s 5th grade students in School of Dentistry last year in USA, and they were very glad to meet again here in Japan.
They attended the lecture of dental education held by Prof. Shu Fujiwara and saw around the attached hospital, Murakami Memorial Hospital and Asahi U’s campus. They also went to Gifu and ancient city Kyoto to know and experience Japanese culture during their stay in Japan.
The group of UCLA visited Gifu Broadcasting System, Inc. and there they reported the difference of the system of dental clinic between USA and Japan, and the impression of Japan.
This was the 17th exchange program for both universities since 1997.
Asahi Universiy hopes friendship between Japanese students and American students deepens further.
