Exchange Students from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)

Asahi University received 10 students and 2 instructors from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) , USA based on short term exchange program from 31 Mar. 2013 to 09 Apr. 2013.
Students of UAB had lectures in School of Dentistry of Asahi University, saw around the campus, attached hospital and so force. They also visited Sumo club and one student of UAB tried sumo wrestling with Japanese student.
During their stay, they saw beautiful cherry blossoms in Sunomata-cho, which is close town to Asahi University and visited Kyoto to experience Japanese culture. Japanese students and American students deepened their friendship.
Furthermore, they attended the Entrance Ceremony of Asahi University and Prof. Nicolaas Comelis Geurs of UAB delivered a congratulatory address to new students.
This is the 14th exchange program since 1999. We hope friendship between both universities develops further.
